Nasa developing lunar time system
Nasa confirmed that its developing Moon's new time zone. NASA’s Space Communication and Navigation (SCaN) is leading the effort. NASA plans to send crewed missions back to the Moon through its Artemis 2 program, which is scheduled for September 2025. A year later, Artemis 3 aims to land astronauts near the Moon’s South Pole. As the US officials already give policy memo which direct NASA to work with U.S departments like Departments of Commerce, Defense, to create this new time standard by 2026. The current analysis indicates time on moon 'ticks' faster which is microseconds compare to earth. But in space microseconds is much more. The more nation are active and commercial space are growing at moon that’s y NASA thinks its time and greater needs for time standardization.
