Sony officially announced PS5 Pro

Sony unveils much awaited PS5 Pro but you have to wait until November 7 to get your hands on. Pre-order start on September 26. The console will cost you whooping $700. The PS5 has been a big seller for Sony, with 56 million+ units sold as of April 2024.
Sony managed to make PS5 Pro more powerful without making it large compare to PS5. PS5 Pro comes with 2TB of built-in storage has same height and same width.
Sony focused on advanced ray tracing, large GPU which has 67 percent more compute unit, and up-scaling by AI which show remarkable improvement in terms of graphics and give consistent frame rates and RAM has 28 percent faster processing compare to PS5 which was unveiled in 2020.
Sony's AI-upscaling tech called PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution ) which is like NVIDIA's DLSS. Ray-tracing performance could be up to three times faster and 45 percent faster rendering than on the PS5. The lead architect of console Mark Cerny highlighted some of the Sony's own studio games like The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 which can take advantage of these upgrades.
Third party partners which start updating their games like Assassin’s Creed: shadows, Demon’s Souls, Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Alan Wake 2 to take full advantage of these upgrades. These updates show PS5 Pro Enhanced label on their games.
Sony adds that they improve the resolution of certain PS4 games as well by enhancing Image Quality tool. Other features includes Wi-Fi 7, variable refresh rate and support for 8K resolutions. Game boost tool that could improve or stabilize the performance of more than 8,500 backward compatible PS4 games. Sony is in good shape to continue its dominance of this console cycle after PS5 Pro joining the original hardware and the PS5 Slim.
