Sony is expanding its PlayStation hardware lineup with a brand-new 27-inch gaming monitor designed for both PS5 and PC gamers. Announced during the State of Play Japan showcase, the display blends sleek PlayStation aesthetics with powerful desktop gaming features — including a 240Hz refresh rate and a built-in DualSense charging hook.
Designed for the Modern Gamer
The upcoming PlayStation 27” Gaming Monitor delivers a Quad High Definition (QHD) IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, offering crisp visuals and vibrant colors. It supports HDR with Auto HDR Tone Mapping, automatically optimizing picture quality on both PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles for deeper contrast and richer detail.
Gamers can enjoy up to 120Hz refresh rates on PS5 and an impressive 240Hz on compatible PC and Mac devices, with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) ensuring smoother gameplay.
Built-in DualSense Charging Hook
One of the standout features of this monitor is the integrated charging hook located at the rear. The foldable hook allows players to conveniently dock and charge their DualSense or DualSense Edge controller — ensuring it’s always ready for the next session.
Connectivity and Compatibility
Sony has equipped the display with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and multiple USB Type-A and Type-C ports, offering flexibility for connecting consoles, PCs, or accessories like the PlayStation Link adapter.
