Instagram takes on Snapchat with their new location sharing feature
Instagram announced new location sharing feature , where user's last active location will be shown on map once they are optedin.
The Meta owned social network share location only when user open the app and you can choose share location data with all friends , close friends, selected account or nobody. This feature doesn’t provide real time location
This feature is similar to Snapchats Map feature
Instagram says with this feature user to coordinate and feel up to date with friends for hangout. This feature also helps you to explore location based content.
Instagram give one more update where user repost public reels and feed posts. Repost are credited to original poster. There is a separate tab where user can see what post there friends are interacted with.
